Hired on Thumbtack

Today will be my 5th meeting with Carl and my eating habits have improved tremendously. He has set up a training regimen that is very specific to my needs. Carl is a very warm person and very knowledgeable in his field. I feel so fortunate to have him as my personal trainer.

Carl is knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate. When I met him I was in pain, over weight, demoralized, and embarrassed. He embraced my journey, encouraged me all the way, and in a short time I was well on my way to good health. If you are looking for a trainer, or teacher for your journey, you can't go wrong with Carl! He has so many years of experience, he literally HAS DONE IT ALL- as far as methods. He will find a way, if you can find the will!

I've been working with Carl for a year now, and what a year it's been! I've lost 30 pounds, and never felt deprived. I love the approach he takes with his clients, "honor your body and do what you can" I like to hear him say " remember when you couldn't do that?" He is always willing to modify your workout to accommodate special needs. During the past year I've had a shoulder strain and a knee injury, but we were able to continue exercising with appropriate moves that helped in my recover. Isn't that the purpose of having a PERSONAL trainer? I appreciate his advice on weight loss to- we are both "foodies" and love to eat. He will tell you to eat what you love, but watch your portions! There is so much more to food, than just not being hungry. Be aware of every bite you put in your mouth, and stop eating when you are full. All of this encouragement has made the weight loss easier than dieting, and believe me, I've tried a few. I started working with Carl when he lived in Maryland, and had such a good experience that I have continued via Skype now that he is in Maui. Two workouts a week with Carl, and watching my food portions has been an awesome way to get healthy! Dona K

Training with Carl is a gift you give yourself. I am 68 years old. He teaches me to do things that I never thought I could do. Carl reads your body and works with you! He works on the mind, body and spirit!!

Carl is a seasoned professional in the fitness industry. He has a variety of methods he uses such at weight training, yoga, tai chi and more to offer a complete mind/body workout. Carl is also an exceptional motivational speaker. I highly recommend him for conferences and public appearances.
