Guillermo (Willy) Navarro started his career as a filmmaker and Director of Photography. From his native Argentina, he traveled through more than 35 countries shooting news, documentaries and working on several independent and Hollywood film projects.
He has always been characterized by his passion, creativity and a desire to find a new angle, a new look or a new perspective that will make his pictures unique and original. Whether shooting a documentary about refugees in the Sahara desert or photographing actors such as Kiefer Sutherland on a Hollywood film set, his visual work has always been set apart by excellence.
When he moved to Hawaii he founded âÂÂImage Sense HawaiiâÂÂ, a company specializing in what quickly became his newfound love: wedding photography and cinematography.
âÂÂI really enjoy photographing weddings in Hawaii. All that I learnt while traveling around the world gave my work a unique perspective. Photographing a wedding is essentially documenting the lives of the bride and groom through their special day as they celebrate their love with friends and family. You have to document every second of it, yet add glamour and emotion so the resulting pictures become unforgettable memories. The photo-journalistic style I developed shooting news, combines surprisingly well with the glamorous and sophisticated look that is required of you when you work on a film set with a Hollywood celebrityâÂÂ.
