Introduction: Providing long and short-term mental health therapy for individuals, couples, and adolescents. Through the evidence-based practice of Zen Therapy, also known as, MBCT or, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, you may work on a wide variety of problems including:
* Self improvement via new goal-setting and "baby-stepping" it with regard to your own stated goals- depression, anxiety, career, relationships/family, substance abuse, bereavement, physical fitness/health.
* Dynamic versus stagnant thinking- "This and" instead of "Either or." This will eliminate black/white thinking and allow for more flexibility.
* Processing unconscious, or "stuck" emotions that are oftentimes held within the tissues of our bodies like armor and can lead to disease, or even projected onto others.
* Basic Zen meditation techniques that can free us from thoughts that tend to unnecessarily control our self-concepts.
* Build a strong, trusting, and deeply therapeutic relationship where you and your healing process are mindfully acknowledged, gently-guided, and thoroughly validated at your own pace.
* Learn to achieve greater intimacy with others in all of your relationships.
* Find connections within the community and achieve more positive social relationships and greater tolerance in relations with others by learning about cultural diversity.
* Exploring the definition of the sense of "self" and how thoughts and behaviors don't define who we are. Basic meditation techniques help restore a feeling of coming home (Kensho) to truth and authenticity. Escape addictive thought patterns and illusions. Learn to become more aware of inner-conflicts and how paralyzing and unconscious that they can be. Work toward positive change, healing, and growth- begin today!
