Introduction

New to Thumbtack but I’ve been installing flooring for the past 20 years. I’ve done hundreds of homes and condos/townhouses. I’ve also done work at all the hospitals, lots of offices, stores and businesses. Every job I have done, the clients have noticed my attention to detail and the high quality of work in a timely manner. From important but overlooked things like prepping the subfloor properly to the little things like making custom modifications to materials to work in specific situations. I try to go the extra mile to satisfy my customers. That feeling of accomplishment and gratification after seeing how happy a customer is with their new flooring never gets old. My pricing is very reasonable and I can get flooring from wholesale distributors cheaper than most flooring stores

I had my house renovated but the flooring (baseboards, carpeting and some of the laminate planks) were not finished or installed with flaws. I was referred to Joe’s flooring from a trusted friend and he was a godsend to my project! He came over gave me a fair and reasonable quote, let me know when he’d be available (he was on another project) and a deal was reached. He showed up as agreed upon and he went to work, I was so very impressed with his work, I’ve had him back to fix others mistakes and to take on some other projects. He can do it all when it comes to flooring! Joe himself is very humble and nice, I had no problem leaving him alone in my house, he is very trustworthy. Mahalo again Joe! Phil

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Very reasonable labor costs, a lot lower than the big name stores. Can get most flooring from wholesale distributors cheaper than most flooring stores
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Setting up a day and time to look at the job to discuss any fine details and potential issues. I will ask a lot of questions to get an idea of exactly what the customer wants. After a measurement, I will give an estimate for labor and how much material is needed. Then I would provide information for them to see a variety of different flooring types and brands to make sure they get the best deal
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Completed floorlayer training at HCC. Lots of safety and OSHA training.
