Debi was very personable and took some amazing photos. She was familiar and suggested a great location that was exactly what we were looking for. She arranged us for some pics, and also took some lovely and some fun candies. Thank you for a great morning!Nov 18, 2015Verified
Debi is amazing! We live in NYC but were looking for someone to photograph our wedding on Hawaii island. The first great vibe we got from her was that she responded right away to our inquiry with a ton of info and great rates. All the other photographers who responded had lame, one line responses and their quotes were higher. She is very professional with the contract and deposit required which we liked. On the day of our wedding she made us feel at ease and the time just flew. The photos and reel she made for us were simply fantastic! My friends and family could not believe what great shots she got. I am looking for an excuse to go back to Hawaii just so she can do a fitness photoshoot for me! :)May 5, 2017Verified
Such a wonderful photographer and hits the mark every photo shoot she does! Her photos are one of the best that I have received! You even get a video with your slideshow!!!Oct 8, 2015
It was a great fun working with Debi, she was fun and professional and took plenty of pictures at various locations. She did a great job compiling them back and we have good memorable collectionsFeb 2, 2017Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I typically have a nice conversation with a customer, either by phone or in person, to get know them a little bit and make sure we are a good fit. If you don't feel comfortable with a photographer, it will show in the photos. If the fit is good, then we discuss what their ideas are for the images, what they want to do with them (hang wall art, albums, etc.). We also go over clothing and location ideas. Good planning leads to great photos.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started in high school taking several photography classes. I refined my techniques by shooting photographs pretty much everywhere I went. After deciding to pursue photography as a career, I pursued further education at the Art Institute in their Photography program. I learned everything from color theory and design fundamentals to lighting and composition.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Interview multiple photographers. Don't just go with the cheapest price. These are your memories. You need someone that you connect with and that you like their style. Twenty years from now it won't matter if you paid $50 or $500. The quality of the photo is what will matter.
