We had a runway show at Honolulu Fashion Week at the Hawaii Convention Center. The job was supposed to be 2 hours but he stayed to photograph some after the show photos. Derrick was there on time, in fact he was early. He was very courteous, he waited patiently for until I came from backstage to greet him. I was very impressed with the quality of the photos ... so impressed that I hired him again for another fashion show. I am very happy I chose him to photograph a very important event for my company. I had spent a lot of time searching for a great photographer without having to pay and arm and a leg for beautiful family pictures. After receiving a great price quote and reviewing his work, I was very pleased to find Derrick Aspera! Our pictures were taken at a beach location with my fiancé and 8 month old daughter. Derrick gave us plenty of time and direction and was pleasant and professional. He even helped out with a surprise for my fiancé at the end of the shoot, which was that we are expecting another child. He was able to capture his reaction and I am so excited to forever have that moment to look back on!

Derrick was very responsive from the first communication. The photos are crisp, vibrant & shot at artistic angles. They show the best of our beach front home. I loved that he did some shots of the home with his drone. It showcases the sandy beachfront and the location of our home beautifully. I highly reccommed Aspera photography.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always enjoyed photography growing up but wasn't until about 7 years ago when I bought my wife her first DSLR camera that I really started to appreciate the beauty of Hawaii and wanted to capture as much of it as I possibly could.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Photography isn't as simple as clicking the shutter button and taking a picture. Photography involves knowing when the best times of the day to shoot, it's about building customer relationships with clients. It includes countless hours of editing and processing to ensure the client receives the highest quality picture possible.
