Introduction: Aloha Kakou, hauʻoli mākou e hāʻawi iā ʻoe i nā lawelawe o kahi haipule a ʻāpono ole hoʻomana Kalikimaka /Hawaiʻi: hana i ka mare , he bapetizo, a i kēlā manawa o ka berevment - lawelawe ʻana i ka lā. (Aloha Kakou, we are happy to offer you the services of a religious or non-religious Christian/Hawaiian: wedding ceremony, the blessing of your home, work place, construction site, family gathering, conference, a one on one Hoʻoponopono-Hawaiian mediation, a baptism, or during that time of berevment - funeral service for your loved one.) We perform ceremonies for all, and very workable with and to meet your needs and desires. We also have a local florist, caterer, photographer and musicians available for hire. Wedding Plans: The Island of Oahu $250: All other islands $500 I perform both Christian and non-Christian ceremonies. The ceremony may included gospel readings of your choice, a poem or a special message. We start with the call to gather; A blessing; then you recite the lovers poem to each other; the vows; and the blessing of the rings. The Lei exchange: the bride and groom exchange special leis and at this time it also allows the couple to recognize special guests with a lei. I provide the leis for the bride and groom. The Sand ceremony: this ceremony dates back to the time of Pharaoh. When there was no ring exchange, no ceremonial certificate, or no record of a marriage. The couple world bring soil from there home and pour into a vessel, creating a new foundation, symbolizing their unification. Today we use sand to represent the groom and for the bride, glitter of your favorite color and this is pour into a mason jar which represents your unification. You are then given the mason jar to take home. The Hawaiian blessing with translation And the conclusion of the ceremony We end with the pronouncement of the couple. The ceremony takes about 20-30 minutes. I hope this addresses your questions. Minister Dean officiated a beautiful sunset ceremony for my parent’s 50th Anniversary Vowel Renewal. His attention to detail is impeccable. He provided beautiful leis, a bouquet, a sand ritual and wedding certificate. He’s extremely responsive and went above and beyond to help us celebrate such a wonderful occasion. I highly recommend!

Mr Harvest is very responsive to communication, can help with the floral arrangements as well. The ceremony was special. Knowledgeable about the locations where beach weddings can take place. Very reasonable pricing. Attentive to detail.

Kahu Dean was not only very helpful in our wedding plans but he went above and beyond with keeping us informed on everything we needed regarding Covid before we left home. He was also very courteous and flexible with our location change. We are looking forward to displaying our United sand and glitter in our home. Many Mahalo to Kahu Dean

We highly recommend Kahu Dean for his services. With our last minute planning he was very helpful and understanding. He walked us through the entire ceremony and worked with us in changing the layout the way we wanted it. He was very flexible with the timing but did politely point out its go time. We were not on time starting but with him we finished on time. He provided the sand and glitter for unity sand, leis for Lei exchange, and hand scriptured commemorative certificate. Much mahalos. for his services. Nicole and Ruben

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My stipend is fixed at $150.00 for the island of Oahu, and $300.00 for neighbor islands. I do not wish to charge outrages prices, keeping it affordable.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Upon being hired, I like to meet with the couple to introduce myself and too meet you. We will then go over a quick review of the ceremony, and answer any questions. Confirm venue and if none has been chosen, to make suggestions. Work with you on the vows, lei, water, and sand ceremony if desired.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a ordained minister with the Christrian Harvest Church. I am the 12th descendant of Kapuni. In Waikiki, along Kuhio Beach, four particular stones stand together embracing a collective legacy within Hawaiian history and culture. Oral traditions tell us that, before the reign of O‘ahu’s chief Kakuhihewa, four individuals came from Tahiti to the shores of Waikiki bringing with them tremendous healing powers Kapuni was said to envelop his patients with his mana (spiritual power). I am a Hawaiian cultural consultant, advisor, and chanter for the Archdiocese of Honolulu.
