Kahu Dean is by far the best. He’s very warm and funny in which we felt so relaxed during the ceremony. Our renewal of vows (25th wedding anniv) was simple and yet special because of Kahu Dean. Thank you To Kahu Dean😊Jan 3, 2020Verified
We had to postpone our wedding at first due to an illness in my family, and Kahiko was very understanding about it. He awaited and happily performed our ceremony two months later than planed. We had a small private ceremony on the beach and Kahiko was very helpful before the ceremony even gave us a little gift. The ceremony itself was beautiful and very touching! It brought tears into my eyes, and I and my (now) husband will always cherish this precious day. Mahalo!Dec 29, 2019Verified
Kahu Dean is very sweet, warm and funny. He explained everything in great detail. We had a non-denominational, Hawaiian lei exchange wedding ceremony. Thank you so very much for being a part of our special day, we we’re very lucky to have met you and your lovely wife. Mahalo! 🤙🏼💙Apr 30, 2019Verified
Kahu Dean was extremely friendly and made our beach ceremony a great memory! He kept great contact with us and gave suggestions on locations and times etc. I was extremely nervous but he made my husband and I feel very comfortable and the ceremony went beautifully. I would definitely recommend Kahu Dean to another couple for a sunrise wedding!May 28, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My stipend is fixed at $150.00 for the island of Oahu, and $300.00 for neighbor islands. I do not wish to charge outrages prices, keeping it affordable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Upon being hired, I like to meet with the couple to introduce myself and too meet you. We will then go over a quick review of the ceremony, and answer any questions. Confirm venue and if none has been chosen, to make suggestions. Work with you on the vows, lei, water, and sand ceremony if desired.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a ordained minister with the Christrian Harvest Church. I am the 12th descendant of Kapuni. In Waikiki, along Kuhio Beach, four particular stones stand together embracing a collective legacy within Hawaiian history and culture. Oral traditions tell us that, before the reign of O‘ahu’s chief Kakuhihewa, four individuals came from Tahiti to the shores of Waikiki bringing with them tremendous healing powers Kapuni was said to envelop his patients with his mana (spiritual power). I am a Hawaiian cultural consultant, advisor, and chanter for the Archdiocese of Honolulu.
