Carena is seriously amazing! This was our first time doing a professional shoot and we were a little nervous, but she made us feel so comfortable right away. She was absolutely incredible with our 8mo, too! The hour completely flew by and everything felt so easy and natural. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on providing top-quality portraiture and editorial work for a range of clientele. Rates are based on the island of Kauai. However, I do travel inter-island for events and special sessions 2x/month. Traveling Inter-island for my clients is always an adventure and I am here for it!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Connecting with my clients via phone is my favorite way to get started! I get to know you, introduce myself and how I can make the process and flawless as possible. I inquire about any personal preferences, potential venue locations, and customization options. I also provide a list of island-wide locations to review, wardrobe reccomendations and an insider’s guide to Dining & Activities, so that you can have a seamless time with me and on island!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Fine Art/Photography at University of Hawaii at Manoa, and worked in action sports and film media for many years. I have a lot of experience as a freelance artist in editorial print and fine art galleries.
