Heaven Scent designers create spectacular floral arrangements using seasonal blooms. HSD has made their experience as stage setter in films, and part of it was to furnish its setting to an inviting space. Our designs are "living art" of adoration. Mapuana was very sweet and helpful along the way for our destination wedding. She followed up with us prior to coming which made me feel secure in our floral decision. However when the flowers arrived at our hotel the morning of our wedding I was disappointed. They didn't look fresh and I didn't receive the flowers I was expecting. My lei and moms leis were to be all white and different from the bridesmaids. All the kris came like the bridesmaids with pink roses in them. We were doing a lei exchange and I didn't want my groom to have to wear a lei with pink roses in it. And I had paid extra for mine to be a double orchid lei which it wasn't. My bouquet was the most disappointing. It was to be pink roses with white orchids cascading around it. It came with a fern sticking out of the roses with orchids sticking out. It looked completely out of place. I tried to work with them on explaining my disappointment but the florist doesn't agree anything was wrong.

After months of correspondence, we were looking forward meeting you in person. We truly apologize you have not called us sooner, we could have worked on a solution. I was surprised to see the picture you sent days later, of your bouquet, it looked different from the one I made. Below is a photo of the bouquet we delivered to you, 1:30 p.m. that afternoon. We honestly feel that we have fulfilled our Agreement and regret to tell you we are unable to give you a full refund. We would like to offer you a gift certificate of appreciation for your business. We were disappointed as one of our tables did not have a centrepiece on it we were suppose to move it from the trellis but there was no vase left to do so nor did anyone stick around to help, as well as 70% of our flowers were fake that was not agreed-upon in the contract.

We at Heaven Scent Designs appreciate your business and want to congratulate you on your new journey in life as Husband & Wife. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these issues may have caused you, and have taken the liberty of looking into the Contract Agreement you have signed and discover the follow up may have been over looked with all the excitement going on with your travel arrangements. After going through the dated emails and phone calls follow up, it can be overwhelmed and missed due dates can easily go unnoticed. Issue 1. Trellis floral display is in its own "tray", easily taken down to set on your table as it states on your Agreement. Wedding Coordinator would have been able to do this. Issue 2: 50% of flowers were fake *Substitution Policy on your Agreement Policy, helps us in case the flower's are damaged, or not available due to weather or in your case, payment has not been received. We were hesitant to use our Company's Credit Card to hold your flower order. I responded with you about the Agreement payment date timeline for holding bulk flowers to keep the price where we negotiated with the farmer 6 months prior to your wedding in 2016. December 2016, the farmer's send vendors a letter of price increase due to Valentine's pre-order date, that's when I used our Company's Credit Card to hold the order without the price increase. SAVING$ 4 Weeks has gone by, our credit card bill comes in with the interest of your order. We receive the first payment from you: Jan. 15, 2017 with the balance due date, which have not been paid as of this date, March 9th, 2017. We are willing to bless you with the unpaid balance of what you owe Heaven Scent Designs, due to the "fake" flowers used. Our experience with Mapuana couldn't have been better. We live in Tennessee, so having an advocate like her on Oahu was invaluable! She was so sweet and helpful through the whole process. She was on site the day of the wedding early and ready to go! There is a lot of stress in planning and executing a wedding, but she wasn't it!

Mapuana was such a pleasure to work with. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and she even made a few extra arrangements for my cocktail tables! She did a wonderful job with my hair piece as well! Other people at the wedding wanted to know who my florist was because they wanted her for their wedding as well!

It depends on what is most important to you as far as wedding decor is concerned. It varies on your design, flowers (seasonal) and aesthetics.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A friendly thank you for the call / visiting our site, getting to know more about their want, need and budget. Questions about reserved ceremony and reception venue, Date and Guest count. That way you'll be able to discuss how much additional floral décor will be needed to either achieve a specific look at your site or complement an existing garden and/or room aesthetic.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Attended University of Hawaii a credited in Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BABA) over 35 years in the Travel & tourism industry in Public Relations and Food & Beverage Department
