Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Most of the time my job entails rescuing computers and data from viruses and other infections. While this is the most common reason I get a call, it is also the most difficult to perform successfully without losing someone's personal data. I see too many time folks taking their computers elsewhere or trying to fix it themselves, only to discover later on that all their data has now been erased and lost. In some cases I have been able to still recover this lost data, but there is never a guarentee to be able to do so.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. There are not many Computer Technicians that have as diverse experience as myself, nor can they perform repairs and setup as quick and efficient as myself. I specialize in Data Recovery and Operating System Repair from Infection related damage without you worrying about the loss of personal data!
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love to travel and help others with their electronic issues. I also love teaching people about computers and electronics so they become more confident in their ability to use electronics in their home or business.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. My favorite was when a customer brought me their dead computer and asked if I could fix it. It wouldn't even power on at all. I discharged the unit and reseated the parts, and was able to fire it right up after that. Then I discovered it was heavily infected so I cleaned it all up for her. Two days later gave it back to her and only charged her $50. She was dumb founded and proceeded to explain to me that she had taken it to three other places before me and all three took a look and told her to buy a new computer. I chuckled a little and told her to make sure she just sticks with me then instead. She has been a regular customer and a great promoter of my business ever since! Thanks Debbie!
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. Computer Electronics have always been a hobby of mine since I was a little kid. I think I was the only kid on the block that even had a computer at that time. After going to Technical School at Hamilton Tech and being a supervisor over the computer sales department and Geek Squad for Best Buy, I decided I wanted to strike it out on my own and make Computer Services my career.
