    Michael fixed a problem that 3 other techies were unsuccessful at. I tell everyone that he's "the guy" if they ever need computer setups, repairs, etc. He's very professional and knowledgeable, and I was relieved that his charges were very reasonable, too!

    I met Michael when he did a little computer maintenance class for I club I am in. When we had a problem on our home machine, I called him. I had exhausted my knowledge and thought I had to buy a new machine. He was able to fix it. I called him again to take care of my office machine, and again for my son's home machine disaster. Same great outcome each time along with personable and professional service. I routinely give his cards to friends.


What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, the standard price is $75 per hour for onsite services. Because I have such a variety of services I can help you with, I just charge this hourly rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During initial contact we setup a time for me to come out and take a look at their issue. I either perform the job that day or reschedule to come back to complete job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to Hamilton Technical College and worked for Best Buy/Geek Squad before starting my business.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Computer Electronics have always been a hobby of mine since I was a little kid. I think I was the only kid on the block that even had a computer at that time. After going to Technical School at Hamilton Tech and being a supervisor over the computer sales department and Geek Squad for Best Buy, I decided I wanted to strike it out on my own and make Computer Services my career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of the time my job entails rescuing computers and data from viruses and other infections. While this is the most common reason I get a call, it is also the most difficult to perform successfully without losing someone's personal data. I see too many time folks taking their computers elsewhere or trying to fix it themselves, only to discover later on that all their data has now been erased and lost. In some cases I have been able to still recover this lost data, but there is never a guarantee to be able to do so.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I wired up 16 cameras in a hotel in Dubuque Iowa and took me a total of three days to complete with one other assistant.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they have a service guarantee on their work and they listen in order to understand the problem thoroughly or you may become frustrated.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
They should make sure to write down all their concerns so they don't forget and they should make sure they have all the product they need there for the service.
