Introduction: Imagine playing the piano in fun times with your friends or your family. Imagine sitting down to play something you've heard over and over in your head. Imagine creating your own music, all on your own or with others. You could learn those skills at Fairfax Piano. You can get personalized piano lessons and careful piano service from the same place! There's no need to call one place for lessons and another place for tuning or service. One phone call does it all. Taking lessons from Mike at Fairfax Piano means that you’ll get private, personalized piano/keyboard instruction, with an attentive ear and an observing eye, to help you develop the skills you’ll need to play well. Mike does not use a set curriculum, but rather will draw from a wealth of material to craft lessons that best fit your interests and your musical goals. Not only can you learn to play written piano music well, you can gain the skills to create your own music! Mike can also carefully tune your piano to bring out the full character of your instrument. If your piano needs light service, Mike can provide that as well.. You can take lessons in the comfort and convenience of your own home, or if you wish you can come to Fairfax Piano’s studio. Whether you have never played a musical instrument before, whether you have taken lessons for years from other teachers, whether your child wants to start learning piano, whether you would like to play on your own or with a group of musicians, Mike can help you take the best next steps in your musical journey. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?. There are no monthly fees. I offer different rates for lessons in your home versus lessons in Fairfax Piano's studio. When you buy a block of 4 lessons, those lessons are valid for 40 days - this gives you flexibility in case of illness, travel, or other considerations. Lesson scheduling is flexible from the start and can change from week to week to accommodate your busy schedule. You get receipts by email for everything you purchase at Fairfax Piano, and lesson receipts show you all of your scheduled lesson times and the lesson expiration date, so you know exactly what to expect. Piano tuning is a $100 flat rate, no matter the type or age of the piano. If the piano needs additional service, you will be informed of its need and you will be given the option to have it repaired before any work is done. The serial number of your piano is kept on file, so if it needs parts at a later time, a simple call to Fairfax Piano can start that process without having to schedule a separate visit.
