- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing is listed on my website at breannasawyerphotography.com. If outside of 20 miles from Le Grand, Iowa, I charge approximately $.70/mile each way for mileage and time. If I quote via Thumbtack, this is already priced into the quote. One important difference with my pricing is that you own the photos after I shoot and edit them. You can download shortly after an engagement session, will have photos within the week of the wedding, and can print them wherever, whenever you want. The price you see is the price you get --- no gimmicks. I always take care of my customers who give good reviews or a referral in the form of discounts and/or free prints.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After booking a wedding, we'll work to schedule a complimentary engagement session as soon as possible. At the engagement session, we'll get to know each other a bit better while shooting for 1-2 hours. Upon completion of the engagement session, we'll go grab coffee or a snack to discuss the details of the big day (family shots required, logistics, hours, etc.). About a month before the wedding, we'll again get in touch to ensure to discuss final details. After the wedding is complete, I try to have all edited images completed within one week. I'll then send you an online album with all (edited and unedited) images. You own the photos---no "paying for rights" or any other similar games. You can download them immediately and print from wherever you'd like.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was a photographer for over 20 years. Growing up, I was always around the camera and watched him edit photos for countless hours. Upon graduation of college, I decided to pick up the camera myself and continue my father's legacy.
