Introduction: I was a college violin professor for over 30 years. Have extensive teaching experience with students of all ages from 6 years old and up. I love teaching beginners and children bringing them up and giving them solid foundations in proper posture, music reading, tone production, left hand finger technique, and rhythm. It is not impossible to bring a child up with all the fundamentals simultaneously, to leave one aspect out means more hard work later. My philosophy is to progress encompassing all these fundamentals. My students typically finish all 8 Suzuki method books in less than three years.

My 7 year old daughter takes violin from Mr Chang. In 9 months she is producing a sweet solid tone and playing with good intonation. Mr. Chang is patient and methodical, he has the ability to relate to students and bring the best out of them. I have recommended him to two friends and they also think highly of Mr. Chang and are extremely happy with their children’s progress.
