- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the customer face to face where the work will be done and hear about their ideas for the project. I get all the information needed to complete the project. We go over how the project will be completed and a timeline for completion.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in this line of work by going on a construction mission trip to help a church with expanding their sanctuary. I went on a second mission trip to help a church rebuild after a devastating flood. The last thing that propelled me into this field was helping my home church with their sanctuary remodel. I started working with a friend in the church in his own remodeling business where I learned to think outside of the box.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I had a customer that wanted to rebuild a second story deck due to safety issues. I was able to remove the existing deck and give them a new deck of the same size with an updated look. We even waterproofed the upper deck to allow the patio below to stay dry when it rains. I work by myself so it took about 2 and a half weeks to complete.
