FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes I do but first and foremost to me is that the person is more important than the money. With the state of our economy right now the middle class is pretty much gone so I have a sliding scale for those in need of my services but can not afford my pricing. Regular pricing is as follows: $70 for a one hour, $100 for 90 minutes, $115 for 2 hours. I offer a 20% off new client discount for the first visit. I also offer package deals at 20% off for 2 sessions and 25% off for 3 sessions. They are as follows: a one hour package of two sessions is $112 and a three hour package is $157.50 - a two 90 minute package is $160 and a three 90 minute package is $225 - a 2 two hour package is $184 and a 3 two hour package is $258.75. These discounts run all the time and are for people who come to my office. I will come to you if you want but my hour price on that is $100 and if I travel more than 20 miles an extra $20 for mileage.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I have new clients fill out a health history form which asks for: contact information, any health conditions I should be aware of, if they have any pain and where it is. I then do an assessment of their posture and assess any other areas of concern. Depending on the clients needs I sometimes ask the body what order it will accept the massage the best. Then we start the massage and my hands tell me the rest.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a current Idaho State massage Licence. I also have 10 years experience in an extended care facility as a rehab aid working directly under the supervision of a physical therapist. I have 5 years experience in a chiropractic - physical therapy office as a massage therapist/rehab aid. I also worked part time in a health-food store learning how to work with nutrition and essential oils to assist the body to heal. I have been a Reiki master working with energy healing and training others to use the art of Reiki to do self healing or to help others. I did my initial massage training 15 years ago at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot Idaho learning the art of massage and a myriad of other techniques related to the field of massage and body work. Included in my training at the hospital I interned there doing massage on their med/surg floor, labor and delivery, and the extended care facility. I have continued my training in Pain Patterns and solutions, The Working S.M.A.R.T. Technique, Muscle Channel Massage and Healing With the Human Energy System which includes the 12 chakra system. I have taught the essential oils class at the Collage of Massage Therapy at Bingham Memorial Hospital and Reflexology at the International Institute of Massage in Idaho Falls. I have been an instructor at the Milan Institute in Nampa teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Swedish Massage, and Ethics. I started my own massage practice in Idaho Falls as soon as I graduated from school 15 years ago and moved my practice with me to Boise Idaho where I have resided for two years.
