Introduction: I love many different things about my job. What I love the most though is the people. Finding the pose, that smile that just lights up a person's face is the best feeling in my work. Knowing that, that beautiful pose, that gorgeous color is something that people will hang on their wall forever.

I have hired Melissa to photograph the Knights of Columbus Officer Installation ceremony, a family portrait, the knights Corporate Communion Mass, and pictures of our daughter with the Bishop at Confirmation. Her pictures at these varied settings have been excellent, she does a very good job with poses and angles, even when there is non-stop action as occurred at Mass and the Installation of Officers. She has provided my pictures in a variety of formats, as needed, for high quality reprints and for posting on the internet. I also find her prices to be very reasonable.

Melissa is an excellent listener and outstanding in her craft. She retouched and printed some graduation photos I had taken and they were 100% improved. She does a beautiful job on our children's special religious events, like First Holy Communion!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

How I like to work with all my customers is by having a conversation. I really do want to know their ideas and what they envision for the photo project. Do they see it as outdoor and candid? Do they see it as indoor and classic? Do they see a combination of the two? Most importantly I want to talk about not only my fee but sometime how I can help them afford it too.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

With the onset of the digital camera there have been constant developments to my field. As a result of my passion to continuously be the best I can I am always scheduling in time for seminars and additional training. I make sure that what I do now is far better than what I did when I started. In my field you can not be complacent.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got in to photography through a class. I had to take an art class and chose photography. I found myself spending hours in the darkroom and loving every minute of it. As a result, I decided to make it my career.
