About 12th Avenue Tattoo

We are a full-service tattoo and piercing studio with a classic parlor feel. We offer everything from standard piercings to photo-realism, new school, and traditional tattoos.

From custom pieces to cover ups, from original art to reproductions, from black and grey to high color, and from fine line to bold, with more than 30 years of combined experience, we are your go-to shop for all your body modification needs!

Although we do have a minimum rate, we do not have an hourly one because here at 12th Avenue Tattoo, we believe that it is never okay to sacrifice quality for time, and we always assure that each tattoo receives our total personal attention without a rush.

We offer each customer a sterile, but non-stuffy environment. We are BBP and CPR-certified, and to assure the health and safety of ourselves and our customers, we use only single-use disposable equipment.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Always always always check portfolios because they provide a 'track record' of sorts and allow you to be able to tell the level of experience and skill that each artist has, also, it is the easiest way to be sure that the tattoo you get is the tattoo you want.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Customers in our state should be aware that there are no regulations that require tattoo artists to have blood born pathogen training of any kind. Any shop or artist you go to should practice hygienic procedures conducive to the prevention of cross-contamination and disease, regardless of the lack of regulated requirements. It is your health and potentially your life at risk, protect yourself!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. If it is not obvious what methods are used for the prevention of cross contamination and the spread of disease, make sure that you ask what methods are used.

Where is your portfolio? An artist's portfolio is a reflection of their experience and skill. Always make sure that the work you want is the work you are going to get by first getting a good look at their track record.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Know what you want, or at least have a good idea of what you want, and where you would like to have it put. Think of size, colors, and any details or particulars you want to make sure are included.
