- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Licensed counselors are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education each year to stay abreast of current information in the field. This 20 hours also includes 3 hours of ethics training.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
As a client, you should choose a counselor who is a good fit both personally and professionally for you. If you are someone who has been abused in your marriage, does the counselor understand abuse and how to treat victims of abuse? Ask questions of the person and get to know about their background and training.
