Rick was absolutely positively outstanding to work with for our wedding! Any supplies we had trouble finding, he went out and bought and gave me the receipt. Any questions I had about anything related to the bar, he was happy to help out with. He went out of his way to get to know our family and guests, and he just made an amazing day that much more memorable for everyone! I mean it! He also had an additional bartender with him named Noah, he was great to work with as well. Do not hesitate to book Rick for your event! I will always reach out to him first!

Details: 101 - 125 guests • Bride or groom • Wedding reception • Upbeat / lively • Public venue • Beer • Non-alcoholic beverages • Host will supply the drinks • Venue will already have a bar • Tip jars allowed

Rick bartended for our Cinco de Mayo party for about 100 friends. He did a very nice job and even stayed when the party went late! Definitely hire him again!

We had our annual rock'n'roll party in our yard with 100+ of our closest friends! This year, we decided to take some of the burden off and hire a bartender. It was a first for us and I was a little nervous about how this would work out. From the moment Rick arrived at our home, he was perfection! He was extremely professional and kept everybody happy all day/night, as this was an 11 hour party!! Thank you, Rick, for easing some of hosting responsibilities. We'll see you next year!!

I'd like to thank Thumbtack for connecting me with Rick. He was an excellent Bartender. He arrived on time and set up our makeshift bar in our clubhouse. He brought along all of the necessary bar tools to do his job and exceeded our expectations. Rick was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. I was very pleased with the way he treated my guests. I would recommend Rick to bartend for anyone hosting a party or event and would definitely use him again!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Gratuities or Tips - My rates do not include gratuities and at certain times I'm not even allowed to put out a tip jar. I feel strongly that gratuities should not be an obligation of guests that you have invited to your special event. Tipping actually is a matter of personal preference. I typically receive gratuities in the 20% to 30% range, which tends to be standard in the industry. Often I receive gratuities above this norm for my exceptional service. For events where I am Not allowed to receive Tips, in addition to my base pay, I like and additional $1 per drinking Guest to make up for their not tipping me.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I frequently look for or receive the latest information and Bartending magazines to help keep me up on the newest trends for the Hottest Drink recipes to date. I also carry with me an excellent App. on my smartphone that has hundreds of popular and hard to remember Drinks to help me be make the Drinks your Guests ask for. I am only limited by the ingredients that you have on hand. I carry with me all the necessary Bartending tools, i.e. Wine & Bottle openers, Shakers, Metal Ice Scoops, Cutting board & knives, Measuring tools like Jiggers & Speed pour tops, Clean bar rags and a Blender if requested.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started bartending like a lot of people do, as a side job in college and it always helped in making extra money to raise my small family. It's something I enjoy doing so I still take bartending jobs whenever I can.
