FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer photography by the hour or by the job. Pricing differs depending on what the job is. A commercial photography job will be different than architecture or portraiture because there are many different aspects that need to be addressed. More work needs to be performed in certain photo jobs than others and hence the pricing differs. There are many methods one can use to photograph a product or service and your budget dictates which of these methods are used. This is where communication is vital in planning photography and why I offer a free consultation. I would be happy to chat with you about your next photo job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important ingredient is to listen. So when a new customer contacts me or is interested in hiring me, the first item is to find out what is important to the client to achieve. We then schedule a free visit where the client and I plan their photography so there are no surprises. During this free consultation we plan everything from clothing, props and backgrounds for portraiture clients. The same goes for our other services like commercial, architectural and product photography where we work together to plan out what product and or services need to be photographed and the best angles that need to be captured for their advertising and website usage. Special considerations are communicated like unique facial features, time deadlines or what products or services need to be prioritized to achieve a client's goals. Once the images have been taken they are uploaded to a secure website for approval. Further work on the images can be made at this time to tailor them to specific client requirements. Final images are downloaded from the secure website to the client directly without the need for additional visits.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training has been through the PPA, Winona School of Professional Photography. In addition every year I both take and conduct workshops and invest in education to keep my photography fresh and current. On the job training at several commercial studios also adds to my abilities that you can benefit from.
