I'm a student of the talented William Powers. His voice lessons have been outstanding and so much fun! I'm making good progress in learning vocal technique, including proper breathing and care of my singing voice, thanks to Mr. Powers teaching expertise. At each lesson I feel welcomed into his comfortable studio, and truly enjoy our time together at his piano. He is an excellent voice coach and I look forward to my next lesson!Nov 2, 2018Verified
I have had two lessons with Bill and I am very impressed. I am excited about the improvements I have noticed in my singing in such a short time! He has a way of making potentially difficult concepts very simple so they can be understood and applied. I feel as if we are laying a solid foundation that with some time and hard work will allow my voice to reach unprecedented heights!Nov 6, 2018Verified
Singing Lessons (for adults)
The way Bill explains everything is just off of fact based knowledge. He makes what some make seem so confusing and complicated make sense to literally anyone with ears. Bill has a special way of making his advice relatable and ensures that he is getting through to you. His passion for his work is relentless and I cannot recommend this guy enough for anyone that wants to understand the true nature of how to sing. Most bennifical lesson I've ever had hands down.Jul 27, 2016Verified
I only had one lesson so far and I am already gaining much needed tips/help. I was nervous (as I always am) but am super excited for my next lesson!!Jun 27, 2019Verified
He explained everything very good and after 1 hours lesson I learned a lot of new things. I could notice a difference after the lesson. It was amazing. He is very nice and polite and he has an amazing voice. Generally a very good teacher and I would recommend him to other persons.Jan 8, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is simple: $45.00 per lesson which is booked at one-hour intervals -- but let me say that for a newcomer working on technique, a half hour is pretty intense and enough to begin with, but invariably we will work the whole hour with valid conversation, suggestions as to repertoire, and solving of musical issues. While it is usually un-necessary, the services of an accompanist may be arranged for an additional fee of $50.00 per hr, or you can bring your own.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?A great many who come to me for lessons really have no "professional aspirations"but simply are testing the waters of possibility, and this is great! Do not feel you must be a"music major" to come to me -- many are simply looking to expand their means of expression in the most basic ways, and music is a perfect vehicle for this -- a good feeling about one's confidence is the perfect advancement!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?As professionals, we NEVER stop learning -- there's always new music to prepare, and even an old show needs to be reviewed regardless of how many times it's been given in the past. Languages must be refreshed -- it never stops. One of my greatest strengths is that I am a successful and renown artist who still performs internationally -- my years on the stage have given me a huge advantage over those who have simply "read all about it", and I can demonstrate vocally what I am asking you to do...if you wanted to be a racecar driver, wouldn't it be a plus to train with Mario Andretti or Al Unser ?! I sure would think so!
