My water heater was leaking so I called a few companies for an estimate. First Response came out and Mike was the tech. He was professional, very knowledgeable and discussed options with me. Never did I feel pressured or like I was being sold something I didn’t need. I chose a 40 gallon Bradford White which Mike installed in an hour. No mess was left and everything was hauled away. Great service and I’ve found my new go-to plumbers!

Just moved into our new home and wanted all three toilets replaced, I called several companies and all gave me options that were very expensive toilets. I was driving home and passed one of First Response Plumbing trucks, I called and they gave me an estimate over the phone. They were extremely reasonable and came in and did a phenomenal job. I recommend asking First Response for all your needs!

We called about the bathtub leaking into the basement. They sent 2 plumbers out right away. Jason and Joseph gave me a great price and they completed the work within a hour or so and even fixed my drywall they had to remove. I’m very thankful for First Response Plumbing.
First Response Plumbing's reply
Hey Lance, pleasure was ours. Simple fix and drywall was no biggie. Thank You for using First Response Plumbing

Initially the contractor responded promptly and went to the property with a punch list. He did what we presumed to be a thorough job by informing us of what could and should be done to correct the issues. Since the property is for sale, we need a written estimate to show that a professional did the inspection. We made numerous requests to Joseph for something in writing. Even though he always had an excuse, we still considered him for the job. He wanted $1500 up front to allegedly buy supplies before proceeding. We were very reluctant to give him half, but we pledged $500 in good faith. After his disappearance and failure to follow through, we were glad we didn’t forward any money at that point. His fee for the inspection was $79, and we still have not received a WRITTEN estimate.

Details: More than a week • Bathroom • Other location • Entire building • Shower or bathtub • Sink or faucet • Need professional's assessment • Townhouse

I feel like we should state some truth here...Ms P was quick to say do the work and did not offer to put any money down which is bad business. This job is located in Lynwood IL and we are located in Batavia IL which is approx 1 hour and 15 min away with zero traffic. As soon as we received the call "as every call is an emergency" we headed straight there with no concerns. Upon arrival the customer wasnt there......thats right they were not on the premises...they lived in (texas) and whatever work that would be done would be mailed to us when job was completed...There's not one contractor that would do this kind of work for free and not have some sort of deposit. This is like getting those emails...(Your Long Lost Cousin In Ireland left you millions of dollars all you have to do is send us your bank account number). lol nice try. If anyone wants great service from a great company then please call us. Were a small mom and pop shop, and super reasonable, these ppl are not resonable ppl. Ms and Mr P, thanks and your written estimate was sent, please let us know when you arrive in Illinois or America, Thx!
