I found Mr. Votruba during my online search for a real estate attorney. So far, I have spoken with Mr. Votruba several times by phone and email for his advice on selling my mother's aged home. He has helped me to think about a number of issues and is very personable as well as professional. Throughout this time he has not asked me for any money. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer new Client Sellers a $500 discount off the cost of their title insurance closing costs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you are selling your home, my job is to represent you in your negotiations with the buyer for contract modifications and requested repairs. After that, I order and prepare all the Seller documentation that are required to legally transfer title from you the seller to the buyer. If you are a Buyer, I will represent you in our negotiations to make necessary modifications the contract and have Seller agree to make your requested repairs. I monitor contingency dates and help you prepare for your closing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Southern Illinois University. I worked for a Title Insurance Company for 11 years. I ran my own law firm for the rest of my career practicing real estate law and estate planning.
