Introduction: Shannon OHara has a bachelors degree in the field of exercise science and kinesiology and is in the process of completing her masters degree in the psychology of sport and exercise at Illinois State University. Her certifications include ACE (American Council on Exercise) personal training, CFFT (Cooper Functional Fitness Training), and FMS (Functional Movement Screening).
Being an exercise science and psychology major, Shannon uses functional movement screenings to officially determine the physical weaknesses each individual client has, based on the structure and movement of their bodies. Using this, with a combination of cognitive techniques, Shannon treats not only what the body needs, but taps into the needs of the mind as well.
