Had to reinstall a new exterior door/framed and storm door on our garage. He installed all the above. Showed me what to buy from Menards. Was able to give me opinions. Brought his own tools and cleaned up after. Very straightforward. He is a carpenter that knows his trade with clean work. And came back the next day to do some touch up and seal work.

Outstanding work ethic. Very professional, meticulous and detail oriented. Took on a job of replacing 2 interior entrance doors in "whacked out" 1979 door frames. Condo Association would not let us install pre-hung doors, as they would not allow door frame removal. Michael had to measure and cut on site for a "custom" fit because both door frames were off. After watching him work we asked him to replace 3 more interior doors which also needed some tweaking. Going to rehire him for a custom built entertainment center that encloses a fireplace very soon. Very grateful for the outstanding finished product. Michael also helped my husband connect his Playstation via Wi-Fi.....another one of his hidden talents. Thank you Michael for an awesome job. It's amazing what a gifted man can do with a plain piece of wood. Highly recommend.......would not hesitate to personally rehire and call back.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are fair and my goal is to show that my services are worth every penny. I do my best to include any other costs in my bid that may be applicable to your project that you may have not been aware of.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually like to come and see the project so that I can accurately gauge the scope of work and any other secondary issues that could possible arise as a result of the work that needs to be performed. For larger projects, I do require a 25% payment of the total job amount at the end of the first day. All other payments are divided up and expected after certain checkpoints of the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 3 years of experience of profession training as a Union Carpenter as an apprentice within the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Apprenticeship Program. I also have 10 years of experience working with various residential construction companies as a freelance carpenter.
