FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer upfront pricing, not a typical estimate that can (and often will) change by the time a job is completed. I’ve seen the benefit of upfront pricing firsthand and so I’ve decided to include it in my business model. The price you are quoted is the price you’ll pay. Hourly rates tend to make customers feel uncomfortable if their budget is tight and the job is taking longer than expected.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a customer is interested in our service, we schedule a day and time that works best so that we can meet up and discuss the work that needs to be performed. We do this because customers aren’t always familiar with their options and we want the customer to be informed prior to giving a finalized price. That’s not something that can easily be done over the phone. Once we know the full scope of work to be completed, We can offer you a fair upfront price. If you agree to the price, we schedule a day to come and complete the job. Often we can start and finish the job the same day! Our goal is to make sure you are 100% satisfied.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed a four year trade apprenticeship, then combined it with 20+ years of practical experience. As technology changes, so do the electrical codes. I am devoted to staying abreast on code changes and often attend electrical code conferences where we discuss the changes behind the complex nature of the National and Chicago Electrical Codes.
