Introduction: I am a business law attorney who left the corporate world to start my own firm so I could help individuals, families, small businesses, locally-owned family companies, not-for-profits, esp. veterans and animal rescue organizations, and entrepreneurs afford quality legal services at reasonable rates. I truly enjoy working closely with clients, getting to know how I can best help serve each of their needs. I am extremely active in the non-for-profit community and with philanthropic causes as I believe we should give back to the community in which we live. I offer 30 minute initital telephone consultations for a $50 flat fee and can handle most legal services, including document preparation, real estate (commercial and residential closings), Pet Trusts, estate planning (Wills, Trusts, POA's and medical directives), lease review, landlord-tenant, corporate law (incorporation of a business, bylaws, shareholder agreements, buy-sell, mergers & acquisitions) and contract drafting. Additional legal services available upon consultation. I offer hourly and flat rate legal services. I am licensed in Illinois and Virginia. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide a written Letter of Representation detailing the legal services to be provided and cost of services as agreed to by the Client. I also work with potential Clients within their budget so legal services are affordable and accessible. I offer multiple ways to make payment as well. The legal process is difficult enough - this shouldn't add to the stress.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a complimentary 30 minute telephone consultation to determine if I can help the potential Client with their particular legal needs. If we both feel it's a good fit, I provide a written Letter of Representation detailing our Agreement and cost of services and explain the process fully to the Client. I enjoy working closely with my Clients and helping them easily navigate through the legal process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am licensed in Illinois and Virginia and am a certified Grant Proposal Writer.
