FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I bill hourly for writing, research, consulting, and design time. You will not be charged for emails or initial consultation. If you'd like me to travel to you I will require a travel fee based on distance. In addition, if your project requires more than one revision there will be an additional fee as well. I try to minimize this by having a quality and productive consultation however.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a consultation with my customers where we review their current logo, website, resume, etc if there is one and discuss the target customer or job market. For design work, I will make a mood board to show to the client. If the client approves I will make a draft of the brand assets and submit them for review. Once reviewed I will make revisions and deliver the final product. For resumes, I will create a draft after the consultation and send it to the client for review. Afterwards, I will make any necessary revisions and produce a final, revisable copy to the client. For career consulting, I am flexible to the needs of the client. For instance if they are looking for one consultation only then I will gather information about their goals, research their field, and have one phone conversation or in person meeting that is optimized to help provoke thought and answer some questions. Clients that are looking for multiple sessions will have an initial consult where we identify areas for improvement and will be given assignments in between sessions to help them reach their goals. For business consulting, I am also very flexible towards what the client is looking for. I'm open to working with businesses that are in the idea phase to aid in concept, business plan writing, strategizing, identifying a target market, product development, etc. For established businesses, I'm open to help with things such as branding, social media marketing, copywriting, market research and analysis, financial management, and more.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago where I focused on design and printmaking. I've worked as a Social Media Manager, a Career Advisor, and as a Designer. I've been a Pitch Competition Finalist, was awarded the Compassion and Belonging Grant, received a Student Leadership Award, and Graduated with Distinction. I have owned several businesses throughout the years and have a lot of personal experience and insight into what it takes to own a small business. I'm a self starter and have continued my business education through online coursework gaining an extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, financial management, and strategizing. I am currently working on my MA in Creative Business Leadership from Savannah College of Art and Design. In addition, I own a small textile design business that focuses on inspiring creativity in others.
