- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Attorneys have to meet a certain number of continuing education requirements. Many are offered from changes in an area of the law, to new areas of law that are developing (which includes how to take advantage of them), and ways to take advantage of social media. Attending these sessions helps me meet other attorneys and judges who I can rely on later.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Lawyer television shows boil everything down to fit into a 45 minute time slot. In the real world, the legal field is slow, deliberate, and time-consuming. There are no fist-to-cuff battles in front of the judge; these are prepared debates, and you have to wait your turn.
