Marcy did an awesome job helping me pack and organize for pictures for staging. I was so pleased with the work that was done. I would definitely hire her again.

Marcy organized my very disorganized pantry a couple months ago and I have been enjoying it every day since then. Marcy was great! She was fast and effective and adjusted to the needs of the job, as she was with us for 2 days. We are hiring her again already for another job already in the next couple of weeks. Marcy was also patient and responsive with our questions and requests before we hired her. We would definitely recommend her for your to hire!

Had an assistant text me to tell me Marcy had an emergency and needed to cancel my appointment for tomorrow. No other explanation, just she can't do it. Now I'm stuck trying to find a replacement. Seriously not cool, especially because she has an assistant who works with her. The least she could have done was offer to send the assistant to help me. Looking back over my entire experience with her...its all been frustrating. Her contracts did not reflect the rates on Thumbtack. She sent higher rates than what's on thumbtack, and while she offered to give me the thumbtack rate, I was a little confused by the attempt to charge me more than what was reflected on thumbtack. After the last minute cancelation, and contract confusion I would not attempt to hire this contractor again.

Hi Shanda - it's very unfortunate you had to write a bad review, most of the above is not exactly true. - I gave you an explanation; I asked to reschedule due to a family emergency, which was then further explained that I, personally, was in the hospital and everything was out of my control for a few days. - There was no higher rate; I added an assistant, making the overall estimate higher than you anticipated. After confirming we did not need her, she was unavailable to take over while I was in the hospital. Overall, I accommodated your needs as necessary; leaving out the assistant, allowed you a minimum of 3 hours and not 4 hours (per my standard), I ALSO gave you 2 referrals from the hospital. Very unfortunate there was no compassion in return.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Marcy is $100/hour with a 4 hour minimum. For larger scale projects Marcy + Team is $175+/hour with a 4 hour minimum. In-person consultations $100/hour. $25 goes towards your session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Start with a phone consultation. If a project is larger scale (multiple spaces, or concierge move) an In-person consultation is a must. 2. During the session Marcy (+team) will pull everything out of the space(s) and categorize like items. 3 Once all laid out, I will work one-on-one with you making decisions on what to keep, donate, or trash all while asking you about what you use and how often you use it, etc. 4. Next we will implement systems; inputting any product, labeling, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started to take on side projects of my own in 2015 and worked under other professional organizers ... both LA + Chicago! In 2020 I LLC'd my business and never looked back!
