About Caitlyn Eakins Photography

hired 1 time on Thumbtack

Caitlyn Eakins Photography was born out of a passion that began very early in my life. I was given my first camera when I was just six years old, it was a Polaroid 500, and I loved everything about it. The sound, the look, the smell. They were something tangible. Fleeting moments that could be held in your hands. Fast forward twenty years, and I still shoot the same way. I capture those moments that often get lost in our memories - the sideways glance, the moment before a laugh, the innocent boredom, the joy, the love of life, the simple things. Every time I shoot I try to capture the essence of my subjects. Who they are rather than what they're wearing or where they are. I photograph the things that make you YOU!

The Portrait Session Fee is $275 and it includes a photo shoot for up to 5 people, basic retouching, and a flash drive of all your images. This also covers the Photographer's and her assistant's time on the day of the shoot, prep for and travel to your shoot, time to edit after your shoot, and so much more so that you get the best possible images from your special day! Caitlyn Eakins Photography only accepts a limited number of sessions per month so make sure you book in advance! $50 is required as a non-refundable retainer to book your date.

Real Estate is $40 per location +travel.
Food/Still Life/Tabletop is $150 per hour.

Prints are available for an additional fee.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I mostly do headshots, portraits and food photography.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Is my style what they are looking for, and do I fit their budget? Also, if I don't fit their budget is it worth it for the quality that would be provided.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I have loved photography from a very young age, so the fact that I'm able to do it for a living is a dream come true.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I wish clients knew that just because they or someone they know owns a 'really nice camera' does not mean that they are technically good at using it. Shooting on auto on a dSLR is no different than using a point-and-shoot camera. A professional will use their equipment to the fullest extent and then some.
