What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for official documents is typically per page, with discounts available for pages that are identical (for example, transcripts that all look the same but have different courses each semester).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I need to see the entire document before I give a binding quote, but I'm happy to give an immediate estimate based on a description (for example, a birth certificate from Paris, a diploma from Haiti, etc). Once you reach out, I'll ask you to send me a scan or a photo of the documents you need translated and we can go from there!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in French from DePaul University and an Advanced Certificate in Translation Studies from the University of Chicago.
I am also certified by the American Translators Association for French into English translation, the only such certification in the US.
