Introduction: Steve Gokool, has an examplary record for teaching and coaching singers and instrumentalists alike. He has taught students that have gone on to stellar careers in music teaching, and performance. Many of his students have gone on to Broadway performances, and live television, as well as been nominated for, and winning Dove awards (the Christian Industry Grammys). He has performed around the world in Opera, Operetta, Musical Theatre, as well as Jazz, and Pop venues. He continues to perform around the world and to perform for venues such as LAOpera. He has many live voice over credits and continues to record for various companies as well. His vast experience and nurturing care, provide his students with the will and skill to survive in a competitive world. He is also a skilled artist, and photographer, and is well known for his professional skills as a world class conductor. He currently teaches voice as an adjunct professor at The Illinois Central College.
What I love about my job is the people, and the look of joy they have from accomplishing their goals in a relaxed, non judgmental setting. I love music and art, and want the world to enjoy the very best my students and I have to offer. I enjoy the journey of discovery that my students and I have in exploring the world of the arts and honing our skills to be the very best we can be. I love continually learning and spending time with my students as they explore the wonderful world of art and music.
