Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Kathleen Hammock's work stands out from others because she brings to bear her 35 years of experience of working with large corporations and large law firms to each of the mediation matters she handles. Kathleen's approach to mediation is to carefully listen, respectfully understand, and creatively assist the parties with solving their dispute. All of the people involved in the dispute are given the chance to completely explain their position. Kathleen will help each party understand their own positions and then help them understand their opponent's position. From this level of understand, the solutions often become self-evident to the parties. Often the "pie" gets bigger and creative solutions are suggested.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Hammock Law LLC was formed in 2010. The firm focuses entirely on providing mediation services to businesses and individuals. Many referrals come directly from lawyers whose clients would like to bring an end to a lawsuit or other type of dispute. And many people come directly to mediation before a lawsuit is filed or even before lawyers are retained.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Any dispute or conflict - whether divorce or neighbors feuding or how to care for aging parents - can be mediated. Kathleen Hammock is unique in that she will listen to all sides of a fight and help the parties find a solution. You don't need to give up your position to reach a mediated settlement of a conflict. If you have any sort of dispute it is worth your time to seek out a mediator who will help you resolve the problems. In the process, you will learn how to communicate more successfully in all aspects of your life.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I wish more people were aware of the power of mediation. A mediator can help to resolve all sorts of disputes ranging from neighborhood issues, church issues, family conflict, workplace disputes, etc. I have experience is many areas such as construction, agriculture, aviation, healthcare, government contracts, employment matters...and the list goes on. All of this experience means that I have a wealth of information and knowledge I can draw on to help my clients arrive at decisions that will help them with their disputes. AVOID litigation at all costs! It is very expensive, extraordinarily time consuming, and ultimately destroys any chance of a relationship with with other side. Mediation is the opposite of litigation in all respects.
