Tarra and Mike are absolutely amazing trainers and people. They are professional, thoughtful, kind, results oriented and kept me posted on Pancake’s 4 week boarding/training with them regularly. Pancake was a new dog when he arrived home. It was such a transformation, I was in awe of their progress with him. They spent 2 hours with me when they brought him home training me on what they had taught him. I look forward to our continued training sessions. I cannot recommend them enough. You will never regret hiring them. They are simply magic! Thank you again and again Tarra and Mike! Signed, a very grateful and happy puppy mom, Wendy Parker aka Pancake’s mama

I really liked the home training rather then in a business atmosphere. They are very caring and treat your dog as one of theirs. Would definitely use them again.

I chose The Canine Polarity based on reviews I read on Thumbtack, and now I can share my own review. Tarra and Mike have been great trying to help train our "spunky" dachshund puppy Barkley. He's got a lot of energy and is quite stubborn, so it's been difficult to make progress. After numerous one on one sessions in my home, at their suggestion we've decided to go with their Board & Train option, as that will enable them to dedicate constant reinforcement of commands and routines. I believe they are very fairly priced and extremely flexible when it comes to scheduling. I would highly recommend The Canine Polarity! 🐾

I have a 1.5 year old Labrador retriever who is smart, mischievous, and had developed significant reactivity with humans and other dogs. Even with months of day training with an invested and knowledgeable trainer, I was still struggling to get him to follow commands consistently at home. As a first time dog owner, I was well intentioned but made a lot of mistakes that made him think he was in charge of the household instead of the other way around. Even though we love him, due to his unpredictability and my struggle to manage his reactivity, I was on the verge of rehoming him because I just didn’t know what else to do. Thankfully, his day trainer put me in touch with Tarra and Mike at Canine Polarity! Within a couple days of contacting them, they came to my home to do an assessment and make recommendations. They are VERY knowledgeable and skilled with dogs like mine and immediately made their recommendations. We decided to do a 3 week board and train to introduce structure and an ecollar. I was so nervous to send him away for that long but Tarra sent lots of detailed updates, videos, and observations about my dog. She always responded to my texts and really got to understand my dog and what he needed. He returned home a few days ago and is a MUCH better behaved dog!! He is still his mischievous and playful self but now understands the limits, expectations, and privileges he is allowed to have. Not only did Tarra and Mike train my dog on how to live harmoniously and without constant worry about his next “bad behavior”, but they trained me and my family too! Both of our confidence has increased so much. I’ve reached out several times since he got home and Tarra continues to provide coaching as needed so we don’t fall back into bad habits. I would highly recommend Canine Polarity for your training needs!!
