FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is somewhat flexible. I also give discounts to the next event you book me for, if someone you refer to me books with me. There are special rates for corporate, school, church, and public events I am booked for. If you allow me to display a tip jar at your event, I also give a discount. I charge a $1 per mile (round-trip) outside of a 15 mile radius from 6N736 Medinah Rd. Medinah, IL 60157. I have an exposure fee of $50 dollars to every event that is outdoors, where the temperature drops below 50°F or above 100°F. The exposure fee also applies to events that are worked in direct sunlight when the temperature is 85°F and above. I require a signed talent agreement and a deposit equal to 25% of the total balance for the event to reserve and guarantee services for the date and time of your event. They are on a first come first served basis.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training and gaining experience in my field for 5 years. Before that, I worked for 8 years in the customer service industry, so I know how to treat my clients right. I have two children of my own, and have worked for 18 years on and off as a babysitter and nanny. I have always loved working with children and taking care of them with the utmost care and love, like I show my own children.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
About 5 years ago, it all started with my wedding. For my wedding day, I went to get bridal makeup done by a "professional" and did not like the look she gave me at all. It was nothing of what I wanted. So right then and there, I made a commitment to do my absolute best to make brides have the absolute perfect look they wanted for their wedding, so they wouldn't feel what I felt and feel when looking back at pictures of my wedding close ups. After I got the ball rolling on bridal and special occasion makeup, everything else just came easy. I soon branched out to face painting, glitter and airbrush tattooing, balloon twisting, then magic, wine and paint classes, etc. Once I started learning one thing, I just couldn't get enough of learning how to perform services that make people happy! Once I saw the first bride I worked for breathless in awe of how she looked, I was hooked. The same thing happened when I gave the first children I worked with face paints and balloons, and their eyes lit up with pure joy.
