FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I perform magic for groups of all ages and sizes. I have performed for corporate events, table side close up parties, schools, churches, and even with professional symphony orchestras. I have performed at the House of Blues in Chicago, on AM 1500 KSTP in St. Paul, with the Jacksonville Symphony Society, and on Good Morning America. I tailor my show to fit the needs of your group, and am very adept at relating to whichever age is present (my show for business parties is VASTLY different than my birthday show for a ten year old, but they both are equally entertaining). I have performed at retirement centers, for adults with mental disabilities, elementary, middle, high school, and college students, on the radio (AM1500 KSTP), on a moving train (with the Minnesota Transportation Museum), and business parties.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask for videos to review their work. Many magicians look good on their website, but once you see their patter, it's really cheesy or bad. Also, ask what their training is with children. Besides a magician, I am also a teacher so I have been trained on how to work with kids. Many "kids" magicians have one set kids show for all ages, but a good magician will tailor the show to the age of the attendees. Finally, ask for references, preferably of a business or school, so that you can get a feel if this person is good or not. Personal references are fine, but you never really know if they just gave you their friend's contact info or not.
