Introduction: Russell Armstrong founded Chicago Window guys with one goal - deliver a great product with excellent installation at an amazing price. For year’s, Russ noticed that other window companies were overcharging and not delivering excellent service. This is evident if you simply look at the reviews of many of the window companies in Chicago. Chicago Window Guys uses high-quality windows and doors and provides at affordable prices. From experience, we have learned that the most expensive windows are the ones you have to have done twice. We have completed hundreds of projects throughout the Chicago area.

Window Installation

Russell is very proffesional from coming out for an estimate to communicating about the install process. He even allowed me to break the payments up over a couple of months. His install team was great and proffesional as well. All the windows are working nicely. He installs a quality product for 50% less then the name brands.

Window Installation

Russ and his team are quite unbelievable. We have hired a lot of contractors over the years. And never bought and installed windows. It was a big job - three levels, 36 windows, replacing a two panel sliding pool deck door with a four panel deck door that required cutting into our house frame, replacing a support beam and make a larger opening, moving substantial electrical, replacing a two panel french door with a new oversized single panel exterior kitchen door and a new front door system. We were very nervous and had no comparison of what to expect. From every interaction, from Russ’ first sales meeting to the final door and window going in, it was 110% professionalism, enthusiasm, hard work, safe behavior and of the highest quality materials and workmanship. We don’t normally leave reviews, and certainly nothing like this gushing piece of prose. But it is thoroughly well deserved of Russ, his measuring team, the manufacturing team and, most of all, the installation team. The estimate was very competitive with two other estimates. One was stupidly overpriced and one was close. Russ wanted our business and gave us a great deal to close the sale. We had a couple of minor setbacks (one picture window was delivered the wrong size and the kitchen exterior door was delivered to the wrong specs). We feel it’s a true measure of a company and management as to how they react in the face of missteps. Russ and his team didn’t flinch. They said they would make it right and followed through with the finishing touches perfectly. The final result is truly outstanding. Our home is far more pleasant to live in, we feel it has increased in value because of Russ and his team’s work. And friends, family and neighbors have all commented the minute they walk up what a magnificent improvement it has made on our home. Russ is an old school sales guy in that he loves what he does and does what he promises. We can’t recommend Russ highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate to hire his guys again for anything. Seven stars if we could give them.

Window Installation

Chicago Window Guys installed 10 windows and one patio door for my home weeks ago. They did very great job. We are very happy. Especially, the installer's skills are excellent, and very courteous, also the prices were very reasonable. We really appreciate.

Window Installation

I needed some new windows and I needed them relatively quick. Russ came out, gave me the best price, without any stipulations on how many windows I needed to buy for that price. New windows were installed in 5 weeks. A lot better than the original windows that I had. Rooms are warmer now that it’s getting cold and they are a lot quieter. When I replace the rest of my windows, I’ll be giving Russ a call first.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing is based on the style of windows and doors desired, and the scope of installation needed. We make our own windows and install our own windows, eliminating the problems associated with sub-contracted labor. We only work in the Chicagoland area, and don't ship product all over the country. Which saves us money, keeping costs down and allowing us to offer the best product, with the best installation, at the best price. Guaranteed!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The problem with the window Industry is that they all look alike. You can have a $200 window or a $2000 window, and won't know whether you have a good product or a bad one until it's installed. We take the mystery out of the window buying process by thoroughly explaining and demonstrating how our product is built and how it performs. Most companies don't want you to see what's inside there frames. Our initial consultation will enlighten and inform you, so that you can make an educated decision versus simply rolling the dice.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As industry veterans for decades, we've seen the advances technology in windows and doors change over the years. Where some manufacturers have adapted and changed with the times, others have remained stagnant to save money. Some companies, for example, still use metal spacing systems between the pains of glass which lead to the widespread industry problem known as seal failure. The most expensive job is the one you have to do twice. We help you get the project done right the first time, with a lifetime warranty, ensuring you'll never have to worry about replacing your windows and doors again.

Not what you’re looking for?

No problem: we have pros for every job.
