We put in our tile floors ourselves. After a few months, the grout was cracking, crumbling, and discolored. Kevin gave us a free estimate. We scheduled the repair tech. He showed up on time, was professional, and efficient. After a few weeks, we noticed a problem spot where the crumbling was happening again. We contacted The Grout Experts again, and they immediately scheduled a follow up visit. The tech recognized that there was an underlying issue from the way we had installed the tile. He corrected the issue. Repaired the grout again, and there was no extra charge. I can honestly say that The Grout Experts guarantee their work, and stand behind that guarantee. We couldn't be more happy with the service we received.

Tile and Grout Cleaning

I had 3 bids from 5 star providers. I found working with Grout Experts to be terribly frustrating. They did not reply to messages about scheduling. They told me to expect them at 10am on the first visit and they showed up at 8:30am (while I was out exercising). Visit number two was planned for a Thursday, then a Friday, and then a Thursday again. (Can't use my shower til this is done.) The quote was for one visit...but the Expert stated it needed two. I couldn't be more unimpressed by the expectation setting of the Grout Experts. The work seems fine. But I do not understand their other 5 star ratings.

Doug, The scheduling issues? We called and left messages for you to get you back on the schedule and you didn't return our calls. On the estimate and confirmation our customers are instructed to not use the shower day before, day of and day after. When the tech arrived and started to pull out all the old caulk the shower base was way to wet to caulk. He explained to you that it would need to dry before caulking and you seemed to understand. Jeff thought we needed at least 2 days for it to be totally dry so there were no issues down the line. To insure that it was totally dry we put you back on our schedule for Friday morning. When calling the jobs for the next day, you said you wanted someone there today (Thursday) so I moved things around for us to accommodate you. I am sorry you are unhappy with the communication, again the wet shower was not our fault and our tech was doing what was best for the customer.

Tile Repair

I did my diligence to resolve this prior to writing a review here. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with Grout Experts. On their voicemail it says they’ve changed their name and I wonder if it was to escape honest reviews like this. We needed a repair of the wall behind our shower and since we needed some grout work done and caulking we felt this business would be up to the task. The guy who came to give the quote, Mike, seemed nice and honest enough. But he was not the person who did the job. The repair went fine other than the tiles aren’t perfectly aligned or spaced. The grouting and caulking on our shower looks like it was not done professionally. There was grout dust over everything in our bathroom that we had to clean up when the job was done. There is still grout smeared all over our tiles. The grout lines are sloppy and only a couple weeks later I see the grout is cracking and separating. I tried reaching out to both Kevin and Mike. Kevin was supposed to come and inspect the work today and an hour has passed since he said he would arrive here and he is not responding to phone calls. I wish I had another story to tell as I put my confidence and a lot of money into this small job that looks unprofessional and sloppy. We have a glass block window in our shower that was completely skipped in the grouting process. While our repair is better than when we started, we were hoping the quality of the work done would be professional... and at a minimum clean. Additionally, the guy who worked on this project was swearing to himself loudly as my husband was trying to work in the next room. Between being stood up today, the amount of effort I’ve had to put forth in order to get a response, and the actual job that was done, I’d consider going with a more professional company for your next grout job.

Heather, You called us and said you were unsatisfied and we coming back to fix the issues. I tried to call you twice and you didn't answer. As far as changing our name, Grout Experts was a franchise and Kevin went out on his own. We have done over 17,000 jobs and have always stood behind our work. Again, we called you and you didn't answer.
