Dollar for dollar, hiring The Band Sundance was the best decision we made in our wedding budget. The band gave us a great experience from beginning to end. We had numerous guests say we had the best or one of the best receptions they have ever attended because of the music and our dancing (obviously aided by the music). They kept asking where I found them and how much I must have paid to book them. As great as the band was, they did not detract from us as a couple. Jim and the band planned everything to cater to us. They provided a DJ for the breaks, and a few songs we wanted outside of their repertoire were played on break. They even let me sit in for a song. I found them through this site, and did a lot of other research on them before booking. We wanted a band who could provide the 1940s big band sound for swing dancing and also play contemporary rock, pop, and country with everything in between (50s, Elvis, 80s, polkas, waltzes, etc.). Moreover, we wanted a band who played both “In the Mood”and “Uptown Funk” well. Hard to find, huh? Well, here they are. They read the crowd well and knew what songs to play to keep people excited and on the dance floor. They have a full sound with keyboards, drum set, lead guitar, bass guitar, trumpet, sax, and vocals, and they blended very well as a ensemble. They helped give our reception such an amazing energy. This praise might seem effusive from anyone who has not seen them, but you cannot go wrong with these guys.

We truly loved having The Band Sundance play our wedding. They kept the party going the entire evening and night and played songs that so many could enjoy. Sundance is the best! They played "all the hits-all the time" and kept the crowd on the dance floor all night long. We love the horns!! They will make your party fun and memorable. A nice bonus is the photos and video they provide from their perspective too - we have a photo of everyone on the dance floor that's a treasure!

Pricing depends on time of year, day of the week, location of the event and size of the band.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Extensive pre event planning. We discuss in advance all of your needs and wants of your musical selections to create the perfect performance. We stay in contact with you to update you on the latest songs and trends in music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of the members of Sundance have degrees in music and have been working together as a band for 20 years. We have performed for over 1800 brides.
