Dave has been a very professional drum instructor. He is energetic, fun and patient while teaching drums remotely. My son has really enjoyed his lessons because of Dave’s enthusiasm and knowledge. I would highly recommend Dave.

Dave has been teaching our 9-year-old daughter drums for over a year now! He is fantastic. He has never been late, shows great passion and enthusiasm for his work and is a joy to be around. Our daughter absolutely loves her lessons with him! He is also very knowledgeable about equipment when things need to be replaced or repaired. I highly recommend Dave! You will not be disappointed. Dave is a awesome instructor. He knows how to teach drums and engage the student. Our son was just starting and within a few weeks he was begging us to do 45 minute lessons instead of 30 minutes. Dave is professional and fun--what more can you ask for??!

Dave was very patient and fun for my 6 year old who started drumlessons last year. The progress my son has made and his developed love of music is quite impressive. Dave is also always prompt and professional, as well as flexible. Perfect match for us!

Working with Dave was an amazing experience. He was timely, professional, easy to communicate with and provided us with some great drums for everything we needed. Great chemistry in the studio.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Students purchase at least one month of lessons at a time (at the beginning of each month). That way, we can lock in lesson times and ensure that you have a spot in the schedule.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After emailing or speaking on the phone, Dave likes to set up an introductory lesson to make sure he is a good fit for the student (either remote via Zoom or possibly in-person with COVID precautions). In that meeting, they will go over the following: student's past experience, goals, basic technique to approach the drums, and at least one key NEW skill or song by the time the first lesson is over.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Dave has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Illinois, over 23 years of experience playing drums/percussion, 20+ years of taking drum lessons and classes himself (from world class teachers), over 12 years of experience playing in bands/groups of all genres, leadership experience from working with kids and adults and multiple camps, and the real world experience of being a working drummer in Los Angeles/Chicago.
