- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing can vary based on job scope and type of service offered. We offer in home consultations, in showroom consultations as well as smaller services if you are working on a budget. There is typically a retainer fee that we will collect when performing an in home consultation. However, this fee can be credited fully toward your furniture purchase - so it end up being complimentary! If you are interested in help with spacial planning, paint selection, finish selection - this can be done at a an hourly rate instead starting ta $49. Lastly, we can also provide mood boards with direct links to purchase items as well as all paint selections. Mood boards start at $249! The best way to be specific on pricing is to schedule a call! We'll handle the rest!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When meeting a new client, whether in person or on an initial call the first thing I like to do is have an in depth conversation to assess my client's needs. There is a lot that goes into the Design process and I like to determine the following: How will my client use each space? What is the overall desired feeling of the space? Formal? Casual? Etc? What is the clients style? We can review Pinterest or any Inspo you night have during this time. What is my clients budget? What is my clients timeline? Does my client have any family needs to consider? Allergies? Aversions to certain types of fabrics? Etc? Does my client have pets to consider? I also take into deep consideration the size/height of my clients top ensure maximum comfort of all of the pieces that I will present during our next meeting. After this initial consultation and in home visit, I will have my client back in my showroom in about a week or so for a follow up meeting where I will provide an in depth and complete Design Presentation showing mood boards and pricing and layout for every room in the home. At that point, the client can place an order for all of the items or just a few rooms to start! We require a 50% deposit at time of order with the remainder due just prior to delivery. As mentioned, the Design Consult retainer will be deducted from your purchase. Also, rest assured that none of our furniture is mass produced in China! We only work with quality manufacturers that are domestic, Canadian or Italian! We also offer 0% financing!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a child, I absolutely reveled in designing and redesigning my bedroom. When not allowed to paint, I improvised and hung a pink bed sheet on my wall to achieve the look I wanted! I was a natural with color theory and spacial planning from a very early age. My earliest memory from Pre K is asking a classmate to pass me the "Cornflower" crayon! Needless to say, she was not familiar with the color cornflower. As a child of immigrants who worked around the clock, I spent hours on end watching Bob Ross and a variety of PBS specials. I specifically enjoyed all of the "home" shows, like Bob Villa! You know, before we had HGTV!
