Ms A was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, flexible and responsive when she taught my child. She has always been willing to work with both parents and kids when challenges arise. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I cater the entire lesson around the person and his or her needs. I start out by getting to know them a little bit. Then I ask questions about their goals in learning about music theory, if there’s something specific they would like to learn or do they want to grow in their general knowledge of it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In August 2022, I will begin my 24th year as a music teacher. I’ve dedicated my entire life to music and music education. I spent approximately 20 years singing in many different choirs. I have a Music Education degree and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I taught students ages 5-60 who had a wide range of skills, knowledge, experiences and learning styles.
