We’ve had such a great experience! My daughter’s confidence and grades in math have improved noticeably since she started tutoring sessions. She actually looks forward to her lessons now, which says a lot! Steven has a patient and encouraging teaching style that really helps her feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems. He is so responsive and always available. Steven is a great tutor, he’s very responsive and my teen daughter says he’s very helpful and effective when answering her questions. He also sends notes which my daughter thinks is very beneficial when she’s studying. He’s flexible and accommodating when it comes scheduling sessions.

I can’t say enough good things about Steven. My HS freshman was having some issues with Algebra. Since starting tutoring with Steven she feels much more confident and it’s showing in her work and attitude. He’s really patient, encouraging and really knows how to explain tough concepts to make it easier for her to understand. One thing I really appreciate is that he’s always willing to assist her even outside of their scheduled sessions. He sends reference notes after every session for her to review as needed. I’m so glad we found Steven as her tutor, and we’ll definitely stay with him for the long haul.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first step is to setup a quick phone or video call with the customer introducing myself and telling them a bit about myself. After introductions, I would like to get a description of the areas of focus that way we can focus on a plan to tackle those areas!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a mechanical design engineer with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. My entire career is all about the power of mathematics. I often volunteer at local middle schools and my church community to assist with mathematic tutoring.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
This type of "work" came as naturally to me as mathematics did. I would like to help develop the minds of the younger generation in the same manner mine was.
