Akela K9 Training offers dog boarding and training at our 18 acre property in Maple Park!
We offer puppy training, obedience training, behavior modification, as well as offering sporting and working dog training to the public.
Our trainers are educated, certified, and passionate about dog training. Dogs of all breeds and ages are welcome regardless of what you’re currently dealing with or your goals!

We can’t say enough great things about Akela K9! They’ve been training our Malinois since he was just 2 months old, and now, almost a year later, the progress has been incredible. Their team is not only knowledgeable and skilled but also incredibly dedicated to addressing each dog individually. They’ve tailored the training to our specific goals and real-life scenarios, making every session impactful.
Even though they’re nearly 2 hours away, we happily make the drive once a week because their expertise is unmatched. We refer Akela K9 to everyone we know. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them!

Absolutely amazing! Great team doing phenomenal work. We have seen so much progress with our dogs training. They really work with you to help you understand what you are doing and why. I currently work with Scott, Tarra, and Mike with my Malinois in protection work. They have given me the confidence and skills to train and start competing in a sport I am not confident or familiar with. They do a great job training obedience as well. I don’t trust many people with my dog but these guys are the real deal!
