Joe Swafford started his handyman and repair business with the desire to be an asset to the homeowners of Southern Illinois. In more recent years his son, Joe Swafford Jr. has taken on a role in the family business after growing up assisting his dad on hundreds of projects. From first contact to end of project, he responded quickly, and had a bid to us within a few days, on the calendar within a week, project finished in one day (he installed two doors, and replaced the wood as needed on two door jambs). He put in writing on his estimate that the price would not go up. I’m not sure if he does that on every estimate, but it was a stress reliever for me. It is likely I will work with this company again.

Joe came out, made a reasonable quote, made an appointment to start with an eta on completion. He showed up when he agreed to start. He finished the job on time and for the dollar amount he estimated. His work quality was excellent and he communicated options, and his recommendations, very well. In the end, I received great work at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be calling Swafford and Sons for my next project.

Swafford & Sons did excellent work on my home They provided a full remodel in the kitchen, bathroom, interior, appliances etc. It was a long project, but they did a good job keeping up with schedule and came in on budget.

Swafford & Sons is dedicated to making beautiful spaces in your home with out breaking the bank. Our estimates are always free and satisfaction is guaranteed. We run monthly flat rate specials and offer discounts for veterans.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new customer is interested in working with Swafford & Sons we first introduce ourselves and get to know our clients. We ask a few targeted questions to ensure that we are a good fit for the clients needs. Once we have gotten a few details about the proposed project, we will come to the clients home to take measurements and discuss materials. After we will generate a thorough estimate completely free for our prospective client. After the project is approved, we will schedule a start date as soon as we are available.
