I believe in PERSONAL baseball training and instruction, specific to each player's interest and skill level. I don't not believe in cookie-cutter or one-size-fits-all training. I am the only area baseball instructor that starts every student with a professional baseline assessment, followed by periodic re-testing and setting realistic goals and timelines to ensure progressive development. This is how I help develop strengths and improve weaknesses.
Player measurements (throwing velocity, bat exit speed and running speed) are compared to National Average Performance Standards as well as other local players of the same age/grade group.
I help young players improve their baseball skills, while keeping them interested and having fun. Being a baseball instructor allows me to go see my students in action during games and continually assist their development throughout the season.

We as a family instantly fell in love with Coach Vega on our first session. So much so, we will be going to him often. With his insight and technique, we have have already seen some improvement with our children’s baseball skills. We are looking forward to watching the growth in our children over the next couple of weeks and months with the help of Coach Vega.

Coach Vega has a very laid back and friendly coaching style. I found this to be the perfect match for my son. My son felt comfortable right away and was able to get the most out of the coaching session. Cant wait to use Coach Vega again for more baseball coaching!

My son has been training with Gil for 4 years. Gil has been instrumental in my sons development...not only his baseball skills, but also his confidence and approach to the game. Gil's training was instrumental in my son making the NCHS team.
Gil is by far the best baseball instructor we have worked with. We have had our son train with Gil for 3 years now. We are thrilled with the results that we have seen with our son. Gil's positive attitude towards his training and instruction methods are perfect for our son. We immediately noticed a greater confidence on the field. Gil has a unique method that is facts based, to measure the improvement in bat speed, as well as throwing velocity. He works tirelessly, patiently and positively to help improve each players skills. He uses statistics to show players where they fit with national statistics.
Gil also stresses the mental side of the game to go along with the physical. That may be the most important difference between Gil and other trainers.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The initial lesson is a 1-hour evaluation and is $50; thereafter, each lesson is $80 per hour. No half hours.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I volunteer 50 hours annually to local little leagues, travel teams and high school programs so I can continually learn from coaches and what are the growing trends or new techniques in baseball.
Through my own personal investments, I research and test market new training tools.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in the baseball training business while training my two sons at some of the local indoor baseball training facilities. Some of the owners as well as parents/players asked me to host trainings for them.
