How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was always cleaning in nursing homes and warehouses and decided that it was time for me to start cleaning for individuals. I felt that I could do more and feel like that I was really making a difference for someone.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Right now I've mostly done general cleaning, but I have just started doing deep spring cleaning. That entails wiping down walls, cleaning windows, shades, blinds, dusting everything in sight, cleaning ceiling fans and helping to clean out closets full of stuff and boxing up what they wanted to go to Goodwill.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The lady wanted her house deep cleaned, but it didn't look dirty to me. So I started doing a deep clean. As I cleaned each room she just beamed, she was so proud of her house again. She is 79 and can't do the deep cleaning anymore and it was nice to see her so happy with her home.
