Introduction: I’m a Clinical Psychologist, Life Coach, Relationship Coach, ADHD Coach and PTSD Coach located in Northbrook Illinois. I have an extensive knowledge base from my clinical psychology background and over 20 years of practice. My therapy and coaching focuses on realistic and attainable goals regardless of people’s past history. I also provide outstanding follow up and support through the process. I do not accept insurances and accept payment at the time of service. As an out of network provider for therapy cases, I provide a receipt for services and you will be reimbursed by your insurance company. For coaching and hypnotherapy I work on a sliding fee basis. My rates rang from 50$ to $150/hr. based on ability to pay.

Therapy and Counseling

Dr. Vertino has helped me through some tough times already and I haven’t even known him a whole year. He’s willing to just listen and let you talk and even cracks a good joke once in a while which always lightens the mood. Overall I love the way he works and he’s helped me to get my dog an esa letter which has made her such an important part of my life.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My top fee is 150/hr for the hour sessions and a free midweek follow up text, email, phone or video call. I offer sliding scales down to 50$ per session depending on a client's ability to pay. I am out of network for insurance purposes and cannot use insurance payments across state lines.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

If you decide that my skills and location or remote services are a match for your issues, we schedule a brief call to determine if you'd like to work together on these issues and then we would decide on rate and frequency of interactions. I usually recommend a one hour session once per week and a midweek follow up call, text, or email for continuity, a chance to improve any plans we set that aren't as effective as we'd like them to be, and to provide an accountability check as you try to meet your goals. You receive my session notes with our agreed upon plans for change with coaching. Therapy notes are private medical records and require releases for disclosing them.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a certified life coach and have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with over 25 years in clinical practice. In my work with people I focus on the present, use a positive and change oriented mindset, and base our strategies for change on your strengths.
