We love learning about you and what makes your connection unique. Blanchard Special Events started when I was spending time with my mother-in-law. We loved watching the wedding shows and she encouraged me to start my business. After I did, we still discussed weddings, but the fun thing was that I was able to discuss the weddings I had the honor of coordinating! Now, each time we get to work with a couple, we spend time finding out what makes your relationship unique and work with you to bring that to life!

Heidi was our Day of Coordinator for our wedding this past New Year’s Eve and she was absolutely outstanding!! We had scheduled meetings months out where she took the time to get to know my husband and I and see where we needed help and kept us on track. The weekly check-ins were very helpful to make sure we had everything aligned and she handled talking to all of our vendors to coordinate on the day. She kept everything moving the day of without adding pressure and if anything went wrong, I never knew about it! She truly was so fantastic to work with. Our parents the day after were singing her high praises (they still are!) Working with her and Jessica truly made the wedding so effortless and I am so grateful to them. I would recommend them 100000/10 times to anyone getting married or any other special life event, they will do a phenomenal job!

We cannot say enough great things about Heidi and highly recommend her wedding services to any other couples! Heidi served as our wedding coordinator in September 2017 and she was worth her weight in gold so that we could have a relaxing and elegant wedding. Thanks to Heidi we were able to truly enjoy our time with all of our guests many of whom had traveled from Europe and across the US to be with us. On the day of the wedding Heidi did an incredible and efficient job running our early morning rehearsal which immediately put everyone participating in the ceremony at ease. She and her two assistants were then present at our venue throughout the day coordinating the vendors as they arrived, setting up decor, and bringing us our bouquets for photos. She even sent me a few photos of the cake and decor as sneak peeks as we were out and about all day with our wedding party. Once we arrived at the venue everything looked absolutely perfect and she even had water set up for the wedding party as we got ready to walk down the aisle (she also had water, snacks, pain killers and whatever else anyone needed!). During the evening wedding Heidi kept everything to schedule and moved the guests seamlessly throughout the venue from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. She worked closely with the photographer, caterer, and musicians to make sure everything went to plan. If anything went wrong during the day or evening we did not know about it! At the end of the wedding she and her two assistants packed up all our boxes of decor/cake/leftover alcohol and took it to our hotel so our family and friends were able to go back to their hotels or to the after party with no worries. In addition to the actual wedding day, Heidi was wonderful from day one. After we decided to work together we met with Heidi early in the summer and showed her around our venue. A couple of weeks before the wedding she also came to our final walkthrough with our caterer. We also had multiple check-in calls the week leading up to the wedding to go through final details. During the week before the wedding she was in touch with all of our vendors to introduce herself and to work out any details which took all vendor management out of our hands. In short, we had a very detailed schedule and notes of how we wanted our wedding to run and look and Heidi executed it with precision and even helped us think of details we might not have thought of ourselves. We had 60 guests and wanted a personal, professional, and elegant Chicago wedding. So many guests commented on how smoothly everything went during the day and how much they enjoyed the pace and look of the evening. We were a very happy bride and groom!

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Heidi from Blanchard Events. She was extremely responsive and available throughout the planning period leading up to our early April wedding. She had GREAT ideas to make our wedding unique and special. Heidi went ABOVE AND BEYOND to take the pressure off of us and keep the planning moving forward at a good pace. If you follow her advice, you will have a much easier time keeping all the balls in the air and be able to relax and enjoy your special day. Heidi is very professional, kind and thoughtful as well. As we are all busy people, including Heidi, be sure to have a good list of "to do" or "to discuss" items for each conference call and by the time your wedding or event day comes - you will be ready! Be sure to have her there both on the wedding day AND to help you with the planning. It is well worth the money for both day of and planning! Thank you Heidi for helping to make our day perfect.

We hired Heidi as a day of wedding coordinator and it felt like we hired a full-time coordinator. From the beginning she was always willing to give advice and direction. When my wife and I were unsure of the best approach we called on Heidi to help us decide. When it came down to the weeks before our wedding she was in constant contact always willing to take on a project when we realized we were stretched to thin. On the day of the wedding she was onsite at 8am working with her crew to get things ready for our 6pm wedding. She did an amazing job coordinating with all of the other vendors. Throughout our event she executed our schedule with grace and when the unforeseen arose she had a solution immediately. We are so grateful to Heidi for making our wedding a magical event.
